Buying Guitar Equipment
Buying guitars and their related equipment can be an expensive and frustrating task. My first guitar was sold to me by one of my good friends (at the time). I knew nothing about guitars except that I wanted to learn how to play one and be in a band, so when my friend said he would sell one to me for $40 I jumped at the opportunity. It was an imitation Stratocaster guitar that he got at a yard sale that worked fine and looked pretty good, and $40 was a lot less than the hundreds of dollars the guitars in stores would cost. I later found out the guitar was really worth nothing and that he had got it at a yard sale for $5. It wasn’t a big deal, I had still gotten a working guitar for $40, but this kind of thing can happen on a much larger scale if you are not careful when buying guitar equipment. continue reading »
